The Georgia Bulldogs are announcing their 2011 national signing day letters of intent en masse, with the second batch including North Carolina QB Christian LeMay, who was at one point the biggest name in the class. Remember this guy, Dawg fans? The nation’s No. 4 pro-style quarterback and the nation’s No. 88 player? They turn out talent outside the Peach State too, you know.
Joining him are DT Chris Mayes, OL David Andrews, and WR Chris Conley. Mayes is rated as a four-star by Rivals, with the other two rated as three-stars. Mayes had nine other offers, including Miami, Michigan State, and Oklahoma State, but chose to stay home.
Conley is the nation’s No. 37 WR, who had offers from Clemson, Georgia Tech, Tennessee, and elsewhere, while Andrews is rated as the nation’s No. 9 center with offers from Michigan, Duke, and Vandy.
Considering all three of these players are from Georgia — and ranked among the state’s top 40 players — their early commits should be remembered as positive “Dream Team” momentum.
