Damian Swann Joins Georgia's 2011 Class On Signing Day

Damian Swann's commitment last month was the start of a strong run of commitments leading up to signing day for the Bulldogs. Swann has made it official by faxing in his letter of intent this morning. Swann, who told the AJC that he kept his decision to goto Georgia secret for a month, is rated as a four-star cornerback out of Grady High School in Atlanta. Rivals ranks him No. 3 at his position and as the No. 5 player in Georgia.

Swann had over 18 offers from schools and selected Georgia over the likes of Alabama, Auburn, and Florida. While listed as a DB, Swann possesses the athletic ability to play on either side of the ball and is dangerous with the ball in his hands. Georgia has been looking for bigger cornerbacks and at 6-foot, Swann possesses that size. Adding upper body strength will be a priority for Swann once he arrives in Athens.
