The centerpiece of the Georgia Bulldogs 2011 football recruiting class, five-star RB Isaiah Crowell, will announce his school choice and sign his letter of intent live on ESPNU at 1:30 pm ET. His list is reportedly narrowed to just Georgia and the Alabama Crimson Tide, with whom the Dawgs have butted heads many times this recruiting season.
It’s been a good day for the Dawgs, despite missing out on Antonio Richardson and Jeoffrey Pagan. The entire list of commits is just about signed up, with Ramik Wilson’s the only player I see that hasn’t gotten paperwork in yet. The Dawgs also picked up three-star LB Kent Turene over Texas Tech.
Crowell’s addition would provide a definitive signature to Mark Richt’s Dream Team class. A recruiting haul based around signing Peach State talent that misses on the state’s biggest name is going to feel like something of a disappointment for many, even though it’s still a very good class regardless.
