Tre Jackson Picks Florida State Over Georgia; One-Time Georgia Tech Commit

Tre Jackson is a 6-foot-5, 295-pound defensive tackle from Wayne County high school in Georgia. He previously committed to Georgia Tech but had his scholarship pulled after agreeing to take an official visit to Florida State this past weekend. Jackson had been committed to the Yellow Jackets since October. Georgia jumped into the sweepstakes with a late scholarship offer to Jackson.

Jackson has the big body that many teams would love to have in the middle of their defensive line. Rivals ranks him as a three-star prospect but could be an underrated talent. After moving away from Georgia Tech, Jackson has been pursued by Alabama, Florida State, Miami, and N.C. State.

Bulldogs fans aren't going to be too bummed about losing Jackson after landing Isaiah Crowell and Kent Turene on signing day. Jackson is a nice get for a booming FSU class that most have ranked as the best in the country.
