South Carolina Vs. Georgia Halftime Score: Trey Thompkins Leads Dogs To 39-22 Halftime Lead

Trey Thompkins scored fourteen first half points while helping lead Georgia to a 39-22 halftime lead over South Carolina. Jeremy Price added ten points helping the Bulldogs shoot 56% in the first half including 4-6 from three-point range.

Mark Fox’s club has controlled every facet of the game thus far holding South Carolina to just 28% shooting in the first half. The Bulldogs also have a 20-13 rebounding advantage.

Malik Cooke scored eight points for South Carolina but their leading scorer Bruce Ellington has struggled once again with only two points at the half on 1-7 shooting from the floor. Georgia’s Thompkins has looked like the best player on the floor grabbing five rebounds to go along with his fourteen points.

The challenge for Georgia is to maintain this lead. In recent games the Bulldogs have struggled for stretches in the second half. In the first meeting between these two teams, Georgia held a huge 28-9 advantage at the half but had to hold on for a 66-61 win in Columbia.
