Two SEC East teams will meet in the 2011 SEC Tournament title game, as Florida dispatched Vanderbilt, 77-66. in Saturday's semifinals matchup. The Gators will get Kentucky in the final after UK topped Alabama earlier.
Florida and Kentucky split their regular-season matchups, with the Wildcats winning the point differential by a hair. They'll have the home-court advantage in Sunday's 1 pm championship game at the Georgia Dome, as Catlanta has been in full effect these past two days. Early in Georgia-Alabama, blue shirts pretty much outnumbered aggregate red shirts.
Kenny Boynton led the Gators today with 24 points, while Chandler Parsons and Patric Young combined for 17 rebounds. Florida played strong defense, holding Vandy well under 40 percent shooting from the floor.
For more on this game, Florida fans should head to Alligator Army and SB Nation Tampa Bay, while Vanderbilt fans should regroup at Anchor Of Gold.
