Scratch one name off of Georgia Tech's basketball coaching prospects list: Missouri Tigers coach Mike Anderson is reportedly about to become Arkansas Razorbacks coach, according to KFSM in Fayetteville and many others. If you haven't watched much Mizzou basketball this year, you'll recall him as being responsible for the "fastest 40 minutes in basketball" style that powered the Tigers to the 2009 Big 12 title.
↵Before the Georgia Bulldogs hired Mark Fox to fill their most recent vacancy, they reportedly made a $2 million-per-year offer to Anderson. He signed a seven-year extension with Mizzou instead. He'll be taking slightly more than that -- $2.2 million per year -- to take over the Hogs, according to reports. But hey, he grew up in SEC West country anyway, so don't begrudge him for turning down Athens.
↵The Dawgs can expect to get a workout during their annual meetings with Arkansas now.
