2011 NFL Mock Draft Sends A.J. Green To Redskins, Cam Newton To Bengals

SB Nation’s latest weekly 2011 NFL mock draft sees Blaine Gabbert take over the No. 1 spot that Nick Fairley had held for much of the winter, sending the Mizzou star to Charlotte instead of Cam Newton. The Panthers do appear very interested in drafting a QB, which sounds excellent to me, and Gabbert is probably the safest choice on the board at that position.

Fairley goes No. 2 to the Broncos, with teammate Newton not making it past the Bengals at No. 4, much to Daniel Snyder’s chagrin.

Georgia Bulldogs teammates A.J. Green go No. 10 to the Redskins and … out of the first round respectively. Houston had a very strong NFL Combine and an impressive pro day, but is apparently losing favor in a draft that’s lousy with pass rushers. Alabama’s Julio Jones is now only one spot behind Green, going No. 11 to Houston.

As is custom, Clemson’s Da’Quan Bowers leads the ACC charge, going No. 3 to Buffalo.
