Update: Hines Ward went and killed it, y'all.
↵Georgia Bulldogs great Hines Ward is set to make his second appearance tonight at 8 pm ET on ABC's Dancing With The Stars. Last week he fared well, tying for third place among the show's cast, but this week means the first elimination. Ward says he's hoping Steelers fans will keep him from getting axed, though I can confirm from last week's interest that plenty of UGA fans are keeping an eye on how Ward does in the show.
↵Ward touts Pittsburgh's "worldwide" fanbase, an interesting choice of words from a player who was born in South Korea and moved to Atlanta at the age of one. He remains extremely popular in Korea, and it's been theorized his current team's black-and-yellow scheme is partially responsible for the confounding Korean attachment to the Iowa Hawkeyes.
↵As we've seen with Yao Ming's NBA All-Star Game voting history, having an entire nation at your back can mean a mountain of support. There might be more Steelers fans out there than there are Koreans, though.
