UGA-Boise State, LSU-Oregon Kickoff Games Scheduled For Same Time

So the third-ever Cowboys Classic between the LSU Tigers and Oregon Ducks is set for 8 pm ET on Sept. 3, airing on ABC, which means it'll start at the same time as the Chick-fil-A Kickoff Game between the Georgia Bulldogs at Boise St. Broncos. The latter will be on ESPN, and all this means we won't be the first city to host College GameDay this year, and life is hard sometimes. While that's not official or anything, it's pretty obvious.

However, this means two straight years in which the premier pregame show in all of sports sets up shop wherever LSU fans are, a strategy that can almost never steer wrong a network looking for large, vocal, and colorful masses of humanity to use as backdrops.

So maybe Georgia's game isn't quite the national deal we'd hoped it would be, as most of the country will be watching the runners-up and Les Miles in JerryWorld. And now it's clear why Atlanta's game will become a doubleheader next year. But uh, don't we realize there's no Sunday football that week anyway?
