Deion Bonner, Marquise Hawkins, Other UGA Football Recruit Booked Into Jail Monday Morning

Georgia Bulldogs football recruits Deion Bonner, Marquise Hawkins, and a mystery man were booked into jail at 9:10 am Monday morning, the Athens Banner-Herald’s Marc Weiszer reports.

The three are football players from Carver High School in Columbus, Georgia who are suspected of stealing iPods and iPhones from UGA’s Butts-Mehre Heritage Hall locker room on April 7. They were there as “guests of the football program” during Football Faculty Appreciation Day. Most of the stolen goods were found, but the iPhones had already been moved to new hands.

It’s safe to say the three young men will need to find new schools to play their college football for.

Hawkins is the twin brother of Marqui Hawkins, who's listed as a six-foot-one 2013 QB/ATH by Scout. Rivals lists Bonner as a five-foot-11 2012 CB with offers from seven other schools, including Alabama, Auburn, and South Carolina.
