2011 NFL Draft Results: Christian Ponder, Robert Quinn Lead ACC Draftees

The list of ACC representatives among the 2011 NFL Draft's first-round results isn't half as impressive as the SEC's, but the conference still sent a decent share of talent to the pros. Not quite up to its usual standards though, as only three made it in. The massive slide by Clemson Tigers DE Da'Quan Bowers damaged the conference's standing. At one point he was considered a top-five pick, and yet he remains up for grabs entering round two.

Florida St. Seminoles QB Christian Ponder was a surprise Minnesota pick at 12, becoming the first ACC player off the board. He was followed by North Carolina Tar Heels DE Robert Quinn at No. 14 to St. Louis -- there's another guy who was expected to be top 10 at worst. Boston College OT Anthony Castonzo closed out the ACC's participation for the day, going No. 22 to Indianapolis.

The second round of the 2011 NFL Draft starts at 6 p.m. (ET) on Friday, April 29, and SB Nation has everything you need to keep up with it: news, rumors, player profiles, scouting reports, the full NFL draft schedule, NFL mock drafts, draft projections and more.
