Georgia Bulldogs OT A.J. Harmon will transfer to another institution, the school announced Tuesday. Harmon was in position to contend for a starting job after Trinton Sturdivant suffered another disastrous injury, but has chosen to leave the program for personal reasons.
Whether those reasons are connected to the academic ineligibility rumors circling both him and Caleb King is anybody's guess, but that talk is still out there as this news comes out. The timing of the announcement would lend itself to the theory that the two stories are related, as grades were scheduled to come out early this week.
Our best stab at a 2011 depth chart had Kolton Houston, Austin Long and Brent Benedict as the other tackles capable of making an appearance on the two-deep. Somebody's going to have to step up to help protect Aaron Murray and pave the way for Isaiah Crowell -- who's it gonna be?
