Dancing With The Stars Finale Scores: Hines Ward, Chelsea Kane Tie For First-Round High

Chelsea Kane and Mark Ballas opened the May 23 Dancing With The Stars finale with a well-received samba that made lady Twitter go crazy about her haircut. Everybody liked her haircut. She's wearing nothing but tassels, so you'll pardon me for just now noticing her haircut. The pair scored a near-perfect 29 out of 30.

Kirstie Alley and Maksim Chmerkovskiy followed with a samba of their own. That's what the TV called it. I have no idea what I'm looking at right now. The judges liked it, calling it more natural and less aggressive than Kane's. Results after judges held up their score cards: 27out of 30.

Next, Georgia Bulldogs great Hines Ward and Kym Johnson, honorary SEC member, kicked off their expected victory with a quickstep to "Puttin' on the Ritz" -- judges chose the dance for him after saying they didn't like his first attempt at it in an earlier week. Clad in a top hat, Ward did a lot of twirling and smiling and concluded by firing a champagne bottle full of confetti. Franco Harris and other Pittsburgh Steelers were spotted in the crowd waving Terrible Towels. Ward's score: 29.

The next round of the episode is billed as a freestyle segment, for which each pair had total creative control. All hell bout to break loose! Expecting to see Ward crackback a Ray Lewis-costumed Johnson while smiling.
