Who Won Dancing With The Stars? Hines Ward Is Your 2011 DWTS Winner

Hines Ward and Kym Johnson have won the early 2011 edition of Dancing With The Stars, with Kirstie Alley and Maksim Chmerkovskiy surprisingly topping Chelsea Kane and Mark Ballas for second place. After John Isner fell just short of upsetting Rafael Nadal in the French Open earlier Tuesday, Georgia Bulldogs fans will have to make do with a different former Dawg winning a sporting event which they very, very rarely care about.

After the victory, Ward credited "Bulldog Nation" while thanking his fans.

Some other dancers that were eliminated came back to perform again, but Bulls-Heat was on, and Derrick Rose was raising hell. There was also a Black Eyed Peas performance in there. I definitely did not pay attention to it, but I believe it was less horrible than their Super Bowl halftime show, as it seemed to be shorter. Sara Evans sang towards the end; that was much more pleasant.

The Steelers WR and Atlanta native has been the show's odds-on favorite since about halfway through its season, entering the finale as the overwhelming favorite. The odds narrowed heading into Tuesday, but Ward's chances of winning seemed to go through the roof when he was brought out to perform the final dance on Tuesday night's show, with Terrible Towels swirling ickily throughout. Judges called him the show's MVP and praised his poise in reacting to Johnson's injury.

Super glad to probably never have to watch TV dancin' again.
