SEC Baseball Tournament Scores, Schedule: Wave Goodbye To Mississippi State, Auburn

The Arkansas Razorbacks opened Thursday's second-round action in the SEC Baseball Tournament by knocking off Mississippi State, 7-2, sending MSU home. Things went pear-shaped early for the Bizarro Bulldogs, who gave up four runs in a first inning that featured two fielding errors and two wild pitches. The Bizarro Bulldogs will find a shoulder to cry on in Auburn, which was eliminated in the second game of the morning, a 3-2 loss to Georgia.

Georgia now faces another elimination game, this time against top-seeded South Carolina, which fell to Vanderbilt 7-2yesterday afternoon. The Commodores broke open a close game with a four-run ninth inning, and after that pitcher Navery Moore needed only 10 pitches to snuff out the Gamecocks' last three shots at keying a comeback.

Arkansas' opponent, meanwhile, will be Alabama, which was shut out 6-0 by the Florida Gators. The Arkansas-Alabama game opens today's action; Vandy and Florida get to take a day off and await the winners of today's games.

Friday, May 27 (all games on CSS and ESPN3)

Game 9: Arkansas vs. Alabama, 4 p.m. EDT

Game 10: Georgia vs. South Carolina, after Game 9
