The Kevin Ware saga is now officially over according to a report that the Rockdale County product has committed to play at the University of Louisville. According to his stepfather, Ware is excited for the opportunity to play for Rick Pitino.
"Kevin is excited about the opportunity to learn the game of basketball from Coach Pitino, who has been successful on every level. Kevin couldn’t pass on that opportunity. Kevin’s excited, we’re excited and Coach Pitino is excited."
Ware's recruitment became eventful after he received his release from the University of Tennessee following the dismissal of coach Bruce Pearl. Ware first committed in April to Central Florida but de-committed a little over a week later after recruiting allegations surfaced involving a street agent.
After the Central Florida fiasco, Ware took to twitter to release his list of schools that he was considering. Both Louisville and Georgia were joined by Kansas, Kansas State and UCLA. There was no word on how many of those schools were actually interested. Ware took an unofficial visit to Georgia a few weeks ago.
