Boise State Football Penalties Include Three Lost Practices Ahead Of Opener Vs. UGA

The Boise St. Broncos continue slouching towards the Georgia Dome to be re-born as a SEC team, having gotten mixed up in an amusing and unusual spot of trouble for some really petty stuff. Keep working at it, men! The football program's self-imposed punishment: a docking of scholarships for 2011 and 2012, which doesn't really affect the Georgia Bulldogs unless the Dawgs intend to join the Mountain West, along with the loss of three offseason practices this year and the next.

The latter does involve UGA, you see, as Georgia and Boise State are set to play their season openers against each other. So thank you, crashers of the hospitable bro's couches, for your service to Athens.

Chris Peterson might be the best coach in the country, so surely he can figure out a way to cushion (cushion like a couch!) the impact of that lost prep work. Of course, the NCAA itself will decide on a punishment of its own in June, which will almost certainly be bizarre and uncalled-for.
