UGA Football Favored To Beat Auburn, Georgia Tech, But Lose To Florida, South Carolina

Early Vegas spreads have the Georgia Bulldogs losing to the Boise St. Broncos, though that line is likely to shrink. While we've already written up the entire 2011 UGA football schedule game-by-game, and experts like Phil Steele are picking the Dawgs the win the SEC East, here's a look at what Vegas thinks.

A week after the Chick-Fil-A game against Boise State, Georgia could be an underdog at home against the South Carolina Gamecocks. The spread for that one is currently -3 in favor of the defending division champs. A Week 1 loss by Carolina to East Carolina isn't likely to happen, but a shaky start combined with a Bulldogs winning streak against the Broncos would likely turn that one in UGA's favor.

Two of the biggest mysteries in college football this year: Georgia and the Florida Gators. Florida's favored by three in Jacksonville. All right. The Dawgs are favored over the Auburn Tigers by 4.5 -- evidently Vegas is as concerned about all the talent lost by the Tigers as everybody else is.

And Georgia is expected to make it three in a row over the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets, currently favored by almost a touchdown in Atlanta. That's also the only Tech game for which a spread has been posted at this point, as far as I can tell.
