College World Series Scores: Florida, Vanderbilt Still Tight After Three Innings

With one out on the scoreboard in the bottom of the third, Vanderbilt Commodores leadoff man Tony Kemp belted a Karsten Whitson pitch into the outfield and motored all the way to third base. The Florida Gators responded by bringing in their infield tight -- you get the sense this game could be a low-scoring one despite the pair of potent offenses.

SS Anthony Gomez grounded out on the next at bat, sending 1B Aaron Westlake to the plate with a chance to give Vandy its first score on Florida in the past 19 innings.

Whitson fanned Westlake after a lengthy plate appearance to survive the inning.
