RF Preston Tucker has been on a tear in the NCAA Tournament, adding his fifth tourney home run in the top of the fourth inning against the Vanderbilt Commodores to put the Florida Gators up 3-0. In a game that had been marked by sharp pitching, you had to wonder how long Florida's power could be contained.
Grayson Garvin's challenging inning wasn't yet over either, with 2B Josh Adams reaching first base before a strikeout stopped the bleeding.
Thus far in the postseason, Florida has outscored Vandy 8-0 in head-to-head play. The Gators have made their mark by belting about one home run per game this season, so the Dores will just have to accept that shot and counter it.
