The Vanderbilt Commodores knocked out the North Carolina Tar Heels Wednesday night to earn another rematch or two against the Florida Gators. Even before the South Carolina Gamecocks take on either the Virginia Cavaliers or California Golden Bears, the 2011 College World Series' championship round is already assured of including at least one SEC East team.
Georgia Bulldogs fans, how are you feeling about this? I think the rest of the country is starting to see why UGA baseball was valued so highly despite its underwhelming record. Look at what the Dawgs had to compete against this year.
SEC teams will have made it to the CWS championship series four years in a row in just a few days, and this year's final will be the seventh in a row to feature at least one southeastern team. A South Carolina win will ensure three straight SEC national titles, while Carolina has a chance to become just the sixth program to ever post back-to-back titles.
