Halfway through the 2011 College World Series semifinals throwdown between the Vanderbilt Commodores and Florida Gators, we're all knotted up at 1-1. So, good news, Vandy fans: the Dores scored their second run on Florida through three postseason meetings.
Sonny Gray has been solid on the hill for Vandy, giving up three hits and walking two through three innings. Likewise Alex Panteliodis has conceded three hits through four, giving up no bases on balls. Aaron Westlake got Vandy on the board in the top of the first with a solo home run, countered in the third when Preston Tucker drove home Cody Dent.
If the Commodores are able to beat Florida for only the second time in their approximately 280,000 meetings this season, they'll need to repeat the task Saturday to advance.
