2011 NCAA Softball World Series Scores, Schedule: Alabama, Florida Among Round 1 Winners

Day one of the 2011 Women's College World Series began with a 1-0 victory by Alabama Crimson Tide softball over the California Golden Bears and ended with a 6-2 trouncing of the Missouri Tigers by the Florida Gators, bookending Round 1 in SEC victories.

Alabama starter Kelsi Dunne delivered six scoreless innings that included 11 strike outs, while Florida CF Michelle Moultrie contributed two hits, a home run, a stolen base and a walk.

Round 2 will see Bama draw the Baylor Bears, who topped Oklahoma State 1-0, and Florida take on top seed Arizona State, who slipped past Oklahoma 3-1. Interesting to see both Oklahoma teams fall with home state advantage, but these things happen.

WCWS Round 2 TV schedule (all games on ESPN):

No. 2 Alabama vs. No. 11 Baylor, June 3 at 7

No. 4 Florida vs. No. 1 Arizona State, June 3 at 9:30

No. 7 Cal vs. Oklahoma State, June 4 at noon

No. 5 Missouri vs. No. 9 Oklahoma, June 4 at 2:30
