Women's College World Series, Florida Vs. Alabama Score: Gators To Championship Round

What a day for Florida Gators stick-and-ball sports. The baseball team became the nation's first to reach the Super Regionals round with a satisfying demolition of state rival Miami, while the softball team came back from the loser's bracket to blast the Alabama Crimson Tide by a combined score of 25-4 and reach the 2011 Championship Series against the Arizona St. Sun Devils, beginning Monday.

The Sunday night game got off to a similar start as the afternoon event, with Florida rolling out to a 3-0 first inning lead. The Gators hung on to win 9-2 thanks to seven strong innings of four-hit ball by Hannah Rogers and three RBI each by left fielder Kelsey Bruder and second baseman Aja Paculba.

Florida and Arizona State played Friday night, with Arizona State winning 6-5 on a walkoff hit.
