2012 Georgia Football Recruiting: C.J. Curry Will Help Restock The Receiving Corps

Georgia’s WR corps is in rebuilding mode this season following the departures of A.J. Green and Kris Durham, but it won’t have to rebuild long — there were a number of exciting prospects in the 2011 “Dream Team,” and 2012 will bring the considerable talents of Flowery Branch’s C.J. Curry (6’2", 203) to Athens.

Curry, who earns three stars from Scout and four from Rivals, was also sought by Auburn, Tennessee and Stanford. He’ll provide Aaron Murray with a big, sure-handed target when he arrives on campus. He’s not quite there yet as a breakaway deep threat, but his sheer athleticism means he could ascend to that level in time.

Anyway, the last time Georgia recruited a receiver with the second initial J, that worked out pretty well. Between Curry and the 2011 recruiting class, here’s hoping the wideout position is in good hands for at least the next couple years.
