AUDIO: Mark Richt Confirms Carlton Thomas Suspension, Says Fullback Will Cross-Train

Expect Mark Richt to be asked about the condition of his depleted running backs depth chart Thursday during SEC Media Days, having now lost Washaun Ealey, Caleb King and reportedly (reportedly until now) Carlton Thomas. He's already gotten a head start, telling Bronco Nation News that Carlton Thomas is indeed suspended for the Boise St. Broncos game (ht Marc Weiszer).

Richt also mentioned shoring up the tailback predicament by having a fullback cross-train, also pointing out Richard Samuel's conversion will help back up Isaiah Crowell and Ken Malcome.

Elsewhere in the interview, Richt compared Kellen Moore and Aaron Murray, lamented Moore's 49th year of eligibility, pondered whether Crowell is the highest-touted UGA recruit since Herschel Walker, discussed Todd Grantham's growth into year No. 2, beamed about his special teams and expressed excitement about the Chick-fil-A game -- calling Boise State an "unusual rival."
