Georgia Football Adds To Lou Groza, Ray Guy Award 2011 Watch Lists

Georgia Bulldogs fans may fret about the team's evolving defense, decimated offensive line and lack of proven playmakers at wide receiver and running back, but there's one thing no UGA fan is worried about: special teams. With Blair Walsh and Drew Butler handling the legwork, the Dawgs have quite possibly the nation's finest kicker/punter combo.

And judging by Thursday's college football awards watch list releases, they certainly do. Georgia is the only school to put a player on both the Ray Guy and the Lou Groza lists.

Only two other SEC players -- Arkansas kicker Zach Hocker and Ole Miss counterpart Bryson Rose -- make either list, though, so I'm not sure if this is anything worth bragging about. I mean, we're talking about punters here, so it's definitely not anything to brag about, but what else is there to gloat over in July?

The Dawgs are also the only team in the country to have made each award list thus far, while Georgia Tech has yet to make an appearance.
