Ray Drew Injury: Scooter Accident Sprains UGA Freshman's Shoulder

The five-star recruit sprained his shoulder on his way home from church.

Georgia Bulldogs freshman Ray Drew, a five-star recruit, sprained his shoulder in a scooter accident Sunday and is listed as day-to-day, the school announced via a press release. Drew was traveling home from church at the time of the accident.

Though Drew has not made any official comments to the media, he did send the following Twitter message on Sunday, after the accident:

Im so glad i dont look like what i've been through......praise Godless than a minute ago via txt Favorite Retweet Reply

Drew is just the latest Bulldog athlete to suffer an injury on a scooter. As Chip Towers of the Atlanta Journal Constitution writes, footballers Derrick Lott and Chase Vasser also fell victim to the motorized machines. More notably, baseball player Chance Veazey became paralyzed after a scooter accident two years ago.
