The Georgia Bulldogs' 6-0 lead vanished when South Carolina Gamecocks quarterback Stephen Garcia found wide receiver Alshon Jeffery in helpless one-on-one coverage for a 34-yard touchdown. The Dawgs barked back as Aaron Murray unfurled a rainbow to Rantavious Wooten for a 27-yard score that sure seemed a lot longer than that.
The most entertaining sequence of the game so far: the Cocks had the ball at their own 30, facing a fourth-and-1. They lined up as if they intended to go for it, but Steve Spurrier called a time out. Then Mark Richt called a time out. Then Spurrier retorted. Then Carolina punted. S-E-C!
Another fun segment: after that touchdown, Georgia went for an onside kick, which Bacarri Rambo recovered. Penn Wagers emerged to penalize the Dawgs with a very suspect offside call on Rambo.
Funnest stat: Georgia has owned the trenches, rushing for 146 yards to USC's 59.
