UGA, Boise State Reach Halftime: Dawgs Lucky To Be Down One Score

The Boise St. Broncos lead the Georgia Bulldogs 14-7 in Atlanta, but it could be an even bigger deficit for the Dawgs. Other than one run by Brandon Boykin, Georgia's only mustered 71 yards of offense, with Isaiah Crowell and Aaron Murray each providing half of that.

Kellen Moore, meanwhile, overcame a slow start to produce two touchdown drives. The Heisman contender hit Matt Miller and Kyle Efaw from within the red zone.

Good signs for Georgia? At least Boise State isn't able to run the ball. Doug Martin has only 34 yards on 13 carries. Also, punter Drew Butler is averaging half of the field. Other than that, it's been a whole bunch of hopefully minor injuries to Brandon Boykin, Alec Ogletree and Christian Robinson, along with Kenarious Gates having to be removed from the field due to something more serious.

UGA started the game with fury, feeding off the partisan crowd, but the Broncos never really got all that frazzled. Last year's Boise State neutral-siter saw the Broncos' speed give way to Virginia Tech's power during much of the second half, but other than a couple runs by Crowell the Dawgs haven't shown much muscle on offense.
