The Georgia Bulldogs closed within two touchdowns, 35-21, in the fourth quarter thanks to a 51-yard catch by freshman Malcolm Mitchell, and even forced the Boise St. Broncos offense to a standstill. But Georgia's last real chance at a comeback ended when a pressured Aaron Murray overthrew Tavarres King on fourth down with three minutes left.
Mitchell has gotten a lot of attention in the fourth quarter. He added a powerful 20-yard run on an end-around before letting a sideline bullet slip through his hands. That's the good news!
Georgia fans started trickling out a full quarter ago, with more red seats than red shirts left in the building at the beginning of that last drive. The exodus is now on, and Boise State looks set to collect its first-ever win against a SEC team, avenge that 2005 beatdown in Athens, and knock off another power conference team. Impressed, again.
