Georgia Vs. Mississippi State Spread, Odds Update: Dogs Are Touchdown Favorite At Home

Georgia heads into the weekend as a seven point favorite over Mississippi State on Saturday at Sanford Stadium. According to Oddshark.com, the betting is split evenly at 50-50 between each team. Many fans may be expecting a Georgia win at home on Saturday but may be nervous about laying a whole touchdown.

Georgia enters Saturday's match up at 2-2 against the spread this season and 2-5 against the number over its last seven games. Furthermore, Georgia is 4-1 in its last five games against Mississippi State with that lone loss occurring last season. Mississippi State is 1-3 against the spread this season and has a 4-2 record straight up on the road in its last six.

The total number is 53 for this game and 67 percent of the betting is going with the over. Given that both of these offenses are averaging in excess of 30 points per game, that could be a smart play.  Taking a little deeper look, four of Georgia's last five games at home have gone over the number and five of their last seven overall. Mississippi State has been under in each of its last two games.
