Georgia Vs. Michigan State: Ken Malcome Likely To Start Outback Bowl

Quite a turnaround for Georgia Bulldogs running back Ken Malcome. After being upset with his playing time in Week 1, threatening a transfer weeks later, and being suspended in early November, Malcome is now expected to start against the Michigan St. Spartans in the 2012 Outback Bowl.

Coach Mark Richt expects all four tailbacks -- including Isaiah Crowell and Carlton Thomas -- to play, but said Malcome will "likely" get the honorary first totes.

Malcome ranks No. 6 on the team in rushing yards this year, behind former walk-on Brandon Harton, quarterback Aaron Murray and Richard Samuel, who's been injured since the Florida game. He has only 30 carries -- just 19 more than cornerback Branden Smith -- but has taken a larger role at the end of the year, totaling 21 in Weeks 11 and 12 and five in the SEC Championship Game.
