The struggles continue for Mark Fox's Bulldogs as they fall to 0-2 in the SEC with a 70-48 loss to Florida. The Bulldogs struggled offensively and had trouble defending the paint against the Gators.
The Bulldogs hit just 34 percent of their shots in the game and had a horrendous night at the free throw line where they made just one of their nine attempts. Nemanja Djurisic led Georgia with 14 points and seven boards. Gerald Robinson and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope added eight points each. Caldwell-Pope had a tough shooting night going 3-14 from the field.
Kenny Boynton and Bradley Beal provided all of the offense that the Gators needed scoring 17 points each. Beal hit 4-6 from beyond-the-arc and added 11 rebounds. Erving Walker and Patric Young each finished with eight points. Young also finished with 11 rebounds for Florida.
