Glen Rice Jr didn't start the game for Georgia Tech but it didn't take long for him to have an impact. The Yellow Jackets take a 40-29 lead into the half behind 13 points off the bench from Rice.
Georgia Tech used a late run to close the half with some breathing room. Rice hit 5-7 shots in the first half including 3-4 from beyond-the-arc. He also grabbed a team-high four rebounds. Mfon Udofia and Brandon Reed each chipped in seven points for the Yellow Jackets who hit 6-9 of their three-point attempts in the first half.
C.J. Williams and C.J. Leslie lead the Wolfpack with seven points each in the first half. N.C. State hit just 36 percent of its attempts and turned the ball over nine times in the first half.
