Georgia Tech Vs. Maryland Score: Yellow Jackets Trailing 24-19 At Halftime

Georgia Tech is locked up in a defensive contest with the Maryland Terrapins and are trailing 24-19 at halftime. Neither team shot better than 25.9 percent in the first half and turned the ball over a combined 15 times.

After topping 20 points in both of Tech's ACC contests, Glen Rice Jr has drawn most of Maryland's defensive attention. Rice has hit one of his two field goal attempts and has two points. None of his fellow teammates have stepped up with Jason Morris leading all Tech scorers with five points.

The Terrapins haven't been much better but they do hold an early 21-15 rebounding advantage. Terrell Stoglin leads all scorers with seven points. James Padgett added six points and five rebounds for Maryland.

The defensive effort from both clubs often made it look like they had six players on the floor. Georgia Tech actually employed the strategy once in the first half when Kammeon Holsey failed to leave the floor after a Tech substitution resulting in a technical foul for the Yellow Jackets.
