Senior Bowl 2012: Brandon Boykin Looking Feisty, Earns Vikings Interview

We'd known Georgia Bulldogs cornerback/etc. Brandon Boykin has interviewed with the Atlanta Falcons, Carolina Panthers and Philadelphia Eagles, among others, at the 2012 Senior Bowl, and we can add the Minnesota Vikings to that list, the Pioneer Press' Jeremy Fowler reports. They also spoke with former Florida Gators corner Janoris Jenkins, who's expected to go in the first round, so they're clearly in the market for a defensive back.

Speaking of Jenkins, both he and Boykin were dusted by Florida weapon Chris Rainey at one point. Boykin may have fared better when he contended with Houston Cougars receiver Patrick Edwards.

He's earning high marks for his competitiveness, run coverage, pursuit, punt return skills, and aggressive man coverage. Scouts are likelier to share praises than critiques during events like this, but the word on Boykin's work so far has been especially positive.
