Georgia Football Recruiting: JaQuay Williams Gets UGA's Full Attention

National signing day is approaching, and Mark Richt and his coaching staff are stepping up their recruiting efforts. On Thursday, Richt along with Mike Bobo, Tony Ball and Rodney Garner all stopped by Sandy Creek high school to pay a visit to JaQuay Williams who is the state's top wide receiver prospect and currently an Auburn commitment.

Williams committed to the Tigers last summer but is reportedly considering a switch to the Bulldogs before signing day. He took an official visit to Georgia last weekend and will make his decision at 8:45 am Wednesday.

Sandy Creek head coach Chip Walker acknowledged to the AJC that Georgia has some good things to sell Williams on before he makes his decision public on Wednesday.

"I think Georgia has some really good things to sell to JaQuay," Walker said. "There's the fact that they have a returning quarterback in Aaron Murray, who is established and can get the ball to him. The offense that Georgia runs is wide receiver-friendly. I think they've got a crew of wide receivers. Those are some of the big things that have really helped out UGA with JaQuay."
