Jordan Jenkins Commits To Georgia, Believe It Or Not

The Georgia Bulldogs are once again hanging on to some key in-state talent, keeping Jordan Jenkins of Hamilton, GA's Harris County High aboard the good ship Peach State. Jenkins was expected to choose either the Alabama Crimson Tide or Florida Gators at his pre-national championship announcement, but brought some good news the way of Mark Richt and Todd Grantham.

He's rated the No. 6 weakside end in the country and the No. 5 player from Georgia by Rivals, but he's expected to play rush linebacker in college. His size and speed (6-foot-3, 245 pounds) could make him a perfect fit for Georgia's 3-4 scheme.

Hard to understate just how big a surprise this was. Though the Dawgs were technically in it until the end, Jenkins was giving analysts the sense up until last night that it was down to the Tide and Gators.

And Georgia Tech fans are gonna hate this, considering the Jackets also run a 3-4 system, but -- he hopes to study engineering.
