National Signing Day is when the nation's top high school football players make their official announcement of where they will be showcasing their talents in college. Due to how big of a business college football has become and how popular the sport is among fans, colleges go all out to bring in players that can help them win and National Signing Day is a big deal. It's such a big deal that some players go on National TV to announce where they'll be playing college football. One of those players is an offensive lineman from Palm Beach Gardens, Fla., Avery Young.
Young, who stands at 6-foot-6 and weighs in at 273-pounds, is ranked at No. 74 on Rivals.com's Top-100 high school football recruits. He was the key blocker for a Palm Beach Gardens High School football team that averaged nearly 300 rushing yards per game in 2011.
Young is rumored to be choosing between the Georgia Bulldogs, Miami Hurricanes, Auburn Tigers and Florida Gators and will be making his official announcement live on ESPNU at 2 p.m. (ET).
