Cordarrelle Patterson Commits To Tennessee Over Georgia, LSU, Others

Mysterious JUCO transfer Cordarelle Patterson has expected to announce his college choice later on National Signing Day, but has already gone ahead and chosen the Tennessee Volunteers over the Georgia Bulldogs, LSU Tigers, Mississippi Rebels and others, ESPN's Bob Przybylo reports.

The four star wide receiver had scholarship offers from much of the SEC and Big 12, but said he admired Tennessee's tenacity in recruiting him

"The first phone call came from Tennessee last year on signing day," Patterson said. "They never gave up. With some other teams, I would talk to the coaches once a week or something like that. Tennessee was different. They would call me almost every day, and they kept rolling with me. They kept sticking by me."

Thus we have the first slice of bad news for the Dawgs of Signing Day, but let's be honest ... the Vols need help more than just about anybody does, we can all agree.
