Top outside linebacker recruit Josh Harvey-Clemons was supposed to narrow his list of recruiting candidates down from the Georgia Bulldogs, Florida Gators, Florida St. Seminoles and Miami Hurricanes to only two choices on Tuesday night. Unfortunately, nobody told him he was supposed to be doing that. So at four it remained heading into National Signing Day.
JHC ended the wait early Wednesday morning, choosing UGA. He had his sister hand him an array of hats -- she was wearing a Georgia shirt. #spoileralert
Video from ESPNU:
The Dawgs were believed to be in the final two, while the Canes were seen as the long shot. One contentious issue appeared to be whether he'd be able to get immediate playing time, but Harvey-Clemons has been largely silent throughout recruiting process.
Harvey-Clemons is rated a five-star by recruiting services and ranked as one of the state's best prospects.
