Brandon Greene Commits To Alabama Over Georgia

Brandon Greene, the No. 33rd rated overall offensive line recruit according to Rivals, has committed to Alabama as expected on National Signing Day 2012. Greene, who played for Cedar Grove High School in Ellenwood, Georgia, chose the Tide over a host of schools, but especially the Georgia Bulldogs, who made an aggressive late push for the lineman.

Greene had given a verbal commitment to Alabama January 20 following his official visit, but had considered the Bulldogs, Georgia Tech, Auburn and Clemson among others.

Greene is a 6-foot-6, 280 lb. lineman considered the 19th best overall prospect in the state of Georgia He joins an increasingly impressive Alabama recruiting class that is likely to finish the day as the consensus No. 1 signing class in the nation. Georgia now has only three offensive lineman so far in its 2012 class.
