Josh Dawson Commits To Georgia Over Vanderbilt

Longtime Vanderbilt Commodores commit Josh Dawson, a four-star defensive end, chose the Georgia Bulldogs over Vandy on National Signing Day. Dawson was one of those many surprising recruits James Franklin landed at Vandy last summer, back when everyone started chortling about whether he'd be able to keep them all or not.

The Dawgs made a late push in an attempt to flip the Tucker, Georgia product. At 6-foot-4 and 225 pounds, he boasts the kind of speed rarely seen along the defensive line and will be an exciting weapon for Todd Grantham.

With Josh Harvey-Clemons on board and now Dawson as well, it's been a good morning so far for UGA, even with the misses of Auburn commit JaQuay Williams and Alabama commit Dalvin Tomlinson.
