Georgia is looking for its third-consecutive SEC win and finds itself trailing South Carolina 28-26 at halftime. Georgia's Dustin Ware buried a three with just two seconds remaining to pull the Bulldogs to within two at the half.
Georgia hasn't been able to get on track offensively hitting just 9 of 29 shots in the first half. Marcus Thornton leads the team with seven points and four rebounds while Dustin Ware added six. Gerald Robinson added four points while heralded freshman Kentavious Caldwell-Pope is off to a 1-4 start for just two points.
Brenton Williams scored eight points off the bench to lead the Gamecocks while Damontre Harris added seven points and two blocked shots. R.J. Slawson finished with six. Georgia did a nice job against Bruce Ellington holding him without a field goal in the first half and to just two points.
