Georgia Recruiting: Shaq Wiggins Turns Down Nick Saban

Alabama Crimson Tide head coach Nick Saban has come up with a mighty charming pickup line. When Georgia Bulldogs defensive back commit Shaq Wiggins visited Tuscaloosa over the weekend, Saban told him, "I'll offer you a scholarship to Alabama if you commit today," as Wiggins told the AJ-C.

Sort of like telling a lady, "I'll propose if you'll accept," but at least a little bit more romantic.

Wiggins has become a popular prospect since being offered by the Dawgs. He has a long offer sheet that includes the Auburn Tigers, Clemson Tigers, and Ohio St. Buckeyes, but remains unrated by most recruiting services so far. Keeping him around is big, as UGA is looking to rebuild a secondary that was depleted by a burst of early attrition.
