While college football starts up again in just a few weeks and college basketball LOL college basketball doesn't exist around these parts, we're also only about a month away from PING season. Both the Georgia Bulldogs and Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets are highly ranked entering the college baseball season -- Baseball America ranks both in the top 15.
The Dawgs start up Feb. 17 with a series against Presbyterian, beginning SEC play on March 16 in Knoxville. Notable out-of-conference foes include Clemson, UCLA and a round against the state's other teams, including the April 24 Turner Field classic with Georgia Tech. Georgia baseball schedule here.
The Jackets also begin on Feb. 17, undertaking a Rock Hill, South Carolina get-together with Winthrop and Kent State. ACC festivities begin March 9 against N.C. State. Also on Feb. 17, defending SoCon champ Georgia Southern welcomes UT-Martin, Georgia State starts up against Western Illinois at home, and Kennesaw State hosts a weekend with Bradley and Virginia Tech.
