Carlton Thomas Transferring From Georgia Football, School Announces

Georgia Bulldogs running back Carlton Thomas has decided he wants to transfer to another school. Thomas, who is heading into this fourth season, stated that his decision was based around the fact that this is his last year of eligibility and he wants to find a place where he can have a bigger impact.

Thomas is one of seven Bulldogs running backs to carry the ball in the 2011 season. Most of the snaps went to freshman Isaiah Crowell, who had 185 carries for 850 yards, and Thomas had more carries (73) than anybody else except for junior Richard Samuel (82) and had 361 yards.

The 5-foot-7, 163-pound running back is looking for a place where he can be one of the main running backs in his final year of eligibility. However, the school that he will be transferring to has not yet been specified.
