Former Georgia Bulldogs tight end Orson Charles has been arrested on charges of drunk driving, the Athens Banner-Herald reports. He was booked into Clarke County Jail Friday morning and released on $1,75 bond.
Charles is considered one of the top tight end prospects in the NFL Draft. He's been expected to be selected as high as the second round. He starred at the NFL Combine before electing not to run, then gave what he described as a disappointing performance at UGA's pro day. He has a workout pending with the Eagles.
Last year just after the Combine and before the Draft, former Georgia linebacker Justin Houston was revealed to have failed a NFL drug test. The two don't really have anything to do with each other beyond the timing, but this isn't a good sign for Charles.
